Glowing past the tunnel,I seem to see the light,
a mystique to many, mystery to some,
it's a heavenly creation for most,
but until now for me it was none......
I wander through the dark passage,
and see that the binding shine,
is nothing....but.....
A reflection of love so divine......
A shadowy mist creeps through,
and engulfs me with its force,
i don't resist it,though I could,
because i know it has an eternal source.
It glows within you when you are low,
it hinges onto you as you grow,
it playfully meddles with you at times,
and reminds you of those times......
Which brought you closer to,
your near and dear ones, without you coming to know.
so it seems just a day past or two,
that you will start cherishing everyone who loves you,
because it is love that brings us closer to those,
whom we believe are the loved ones.
Who became a shoulder to cry on,
The best pal to sing along,
A strong arm to hold you on,
A hand to warn you when you go wrong.
So i walk through this tunnel,
in the never ending hope of finding,
The seemlessly wide chasm of selfless love........

United We Stand,Divided We Fall
If the recent Telangana issue was not enough to create an uproar of disharmony among the people in the country, the new issue of the Maharashtra Government giving taxi licenses to only those who have a domicile status of fifteen years and are well versed in marathi(the local language of the region),is yet to weaken the very foundation on which our Constitution stands.Such laws challenge the basic idea of Secularism in our country. They question the underlining meaning of our Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles.
According to Maharashtra Chief Minister,Ashok Chavan:"It is not a question of Marathi agenda. There is a provision in theMotor Vehicles Act,1959,that those running public transport should be able to speak the local language."But is this morally correct to deprive the people from earning if they cant speak the language?Doesn't this political move go against the idea of Mumbai being a cosmopolitan city?Doesn't this decision deviate the position of Mumbai being a centre of cultural diversity?
Evidently, this decision is seen as an attempt to counter the Raj Thakeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's increasing popularity with the middle class Maharashtrian, which helped it win 14 seats in the Assembly elections;since the MNS is perceived as a major threat in the civic polls scheduled for early 2012.
Sad but true, in a country like India which is revered to be culturally and regionally diverse but still united;such moves char its true image in the eyes of the world.By such actions motivated by political or personal gains,India seems to plunge back in those pits of darkness from which it emerged after years of struggle,at the cost of getting itself divided. At a time when every country seems to be at loggerheads with some country or another,India can prove to outshine as an example of absolute unity. But it seems that the ghosts of past continue to us haunt till date.

PAST
In the lavern shift of light,a peck of gloom hovers through the sky,
unbinding in its mist,it dwells within your heart,
what was once the everyday life, now seems too far as the starry sky......
Under the shelter of one's eyes,
within the corridors of one's soul,
through the chasm of one's mind,
The thought meanders as a beautiful dream.......
Which once seemed to be endless,
now lingers as merely a thought..
which once seemed to gloat like water,
now wanders as something to be sought......
Friends or foes,it mattered not..
what mattered was the long list of them we had got,
ricocheting away into the past,
it seems like a second which didn't even last..
Like sleets of rain upon the roof,
like a giant fir standing aloof,
too many drops to gather,
too high to climb and falter,
it is now a thing of the past,
which seemed too slow but vanished too fast..
Seemingly impossible dreams were believed to come true,
but with childhood over, they seem to be at a distant blue..
one deals with what we call the 'reality check',
and realises that, that small gloomy peck,
is perhaps,
the beginning of the tunnel,
full of unknown events and possibly,
a sweet and glorious end.........
